Richard Aurin became a board member at Pony Bird in 2008.
He retired from Southwestern Bell Corporation as a Division Manager Switching Engineer where he worked for 35 years. He also retired from a Computer Service Company after 15 years where he was a partner and a professional engineer. He has also served as First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
Richard graduated from Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and from Bell System Regional Engineering School. He has served as a “Loaned Executive” for the St. Louis United Way and has held the positions of Assistant Council Commissioner, District Commissioner, Council Advancement Chairman, and Contingent Leader for the 1993 National Jamboree for Boy Scouts of America.
Richard resides in Chesterfield with his wife, Arline. Their son, Richard, lived at Pony Bird until his passing in 2015. Their daughter, Cheryl, currently resides at Pony Bird. Son, Gary, is a Director of Engineering and lives in Southern California.
